Mexican folk religion/folk Catholicism is a fascination of mine, and I've created a series of four amulets honoring these practices. La Mano Poderosa (the powerful hand) is made from hand cut brass and copper with a domed, open center. Inside, a small ceramic hand with a painted crimson center. A vintage sacred heart milagro hangs from the bottom. Each pendant is cut and forged by hand and hangs from an adjustable suede leather cord.
